1100 chicken dinners were served up by the Ladies Auxiliary at the Kemptville Fire Department's Annual Chicken BBQ on Saturday, April 28.
The fundraising event netted close to $5,000 for the "Camp Bucko" program for young Ontario burn victims.
On Saturday, June 23rd, the KFD will host 11 area fire departments at the 100th anniversary of the Eastern Ontario Firefighters' Association Games. Festivities will begin with a parade, followed by a lively skills competition to entertain the public. Advance tickets for the June 23rd chicken BBQ, dance and live entertainment will be available later in May.
