Ashes are falling like snowflakes. This is the tweet that went out from Nepean on Thursday night as over 70 firefighters battled a brush fire that broke out west of Moodie Drive. A helicopter water bomber was called in, nine homes were evacuated and fire crews worked with a bulldozer through the night to contain the blaze. Ottawa Fire expects to be battling the fire for the next few days. Richmond Road has reopened but Moodie Drive will be closed between Fallowfield and Hunt Club until further notice.
