Kemptville District Hospital has been awarded Accreditation Canada's highest ranking, with Exemplary Standing. KDH CEO Colin Goodfellow explains accreditation in the industry is much like ISO ranking in manufacturing.

Goodfellow says the accomplishment could not have happened without the deep commitment of the entire team.

KDH achieved over 98% in half of the criteria ranked. They now join an elite group of Canadian hospitals awarded the highest ranking possible under the system.

According to the Canadian Centre on Substance Abuse, when it comes to drinking, a hangover is the least of your problems. The Indoor Highland Games comes to Kemptville this weekend, with their annual pipe band competition. Pipers and drummers will compete in solos Saturday morning and pipe bands compete in the afternoon. Admission is $10 per person. The event kicks off at 8:00 in the morning, at St. Michael Catholic School on Highway 43.
