Not commenting specifically on the merits of this oscilloscope but there seems to be a general misconception of what a 100 MHz spec means. This is the frequency at which the measured value of the amplitude of a sine wave will be 3db lower than its actual value. This represents about a 30% error in measurement so you should not expect to be able to accurately capture 100 MHz frequency signals. If I look at this review, it does not test the capabilities and flaws of this fnirsi thing (I won’t call it an oscilloscope) He just puts a few of the simplest repetitive waveforms into it, and then concludes it’s able to show some picture on screen. The trouble with this thing is that you can’t trust it because it hides to much and there is too much you can’t see, and that is why it’s bad. When the two channels are used at the same time, the ground clamps of the two probes must be connected together. It is strictly forbidden to connect the ground clamps of the two probes to different potentials, especially the different potential terminals of high-power equipment or 220 v. otherwise, the oscilloscope motherboard will be burned. Because the two channels are grounded together, connecting to different potentials will lead to the short circuit of the internal ground wires of the motherboard, and all oscilloscopes are same; The weird transition which is a clear indication of averaging (i.e, you will never see any glitch).
